Alexandra Samuel is the founder of Social Signal, a Vancouver-based company that builds online communities and distributed collaboration networks. Her current projects include managing the web strategy for telecentre.org, a global network for the telcentre movement, and advising on the development of NetSquared, an online community for nonprofit technology innovation. Alex's writing on technology issues has appeared in media outlets like the Toronto Star, CBC Radio, Business 2.0, and the Chronicle of Higher Education. Alexandra holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Politics from Oberlin College.
